The University of Chicago’s Institute of Politics (IOP) will celebrate its fifth anniversary with an event on Wednesday Feb. 7 featuring The Right Honourable Justin Trudeau, Prime Minister of Canada. Details for media interested in covering this event are below.
At the 60-minute long event, the Prime Minister will give remarks and then field questions from Institute of Politics founder and director David Axelrod. The event will be streamed on the IOP website at politics.uchicago.edu. The event is open to press, but space is limited and pre-registration is required; RSVP information is below.
This event celebrates the Institute of Politics’ fifth anniversary. In the past five years, the non-partisan IOP has welcomed over 1,000 guests to campus as part of its Speaker Series, hosted 98 fellows as part of its resident and visiting Fellows Program, supported over 1,000 fully-funded student internships around the world, and helped over 500 students participate in student-led civic engagement projects.
